Efficient capital structure, cutting edge technology, operational discipline and a widespread distribution network, have together attributed to enhance RSPL Health BD and enabled the organization to deliver value to consumers. We have a strong presence in household care products for over 7 years of existence. Ghari detergent powder is the largest brand, being the market leader in base segment.

What We Do

RSPL Health manufactures detergent powder and laundry soap sold under the brands Uniwash and Ghari. The company has 2 factories across Savar and Rupshi to support distribution all over the country.

Our History

RSPL Limited (formerly known as Rohit Surfactants Pvt Ltd) was established in 1988 in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) by late Mr. Dayal Das and his sons, Mr. Murli Dhar and Mr. Bimal Kumar. The company was renamed as RSPL Pvt Ltd and further reconstituted as a public limited company in August 2011.

In August 2013, RSPL group expanded business to Bangladesh and the company was named RSPL Health BD Limited. The company began production and distribution in 2014 and has been successfully growing ever since. 6 years down the line, RSPL Health BD Limited is now one of the prominent names in the FMCG industry of Bangladesh.

Key Achievements

A family business that started around 1970 for manufacturing and marketing of oil soap with a turnover of a couple of hundred thousand turned into a corporate in the year 1988 by entering in manufacture of Detergents. In 1988, Ghadi Detergent Powder was launched in India and currently it is one of the fastest growing brands in the FMCG market. Ghadi became the largest detergent brand in its category in 2011 and currently it holds approx 20% market share in India.

RSPL Group expanded to Bangladesh in 2013 and Ghari Detergent Powder was launched here in 2014. In March, 2016, Ghari Detergent Powder reached the milestone of 2000 tons. In 2018, Kantar world panel brand footprint report announced Ghari as one of the fastest growing brands in Asia. It became the market leader of its segment in December, 2019. The other detergent brand, Uniwash reached the milestone of 500 tons in January,2020 and is a growing brand in its category. RSPL Limited has achieved a turnover of more than Rupees 4500 Crores during 2018-19 from a mere turnover of Rupees 1.39 Crores in the year 1988-89 with an average growth rate of 15 to 20%.
